Theresa Mooney

Waltham – Mrs. Theresa (Campbell) Mooney, of Waltham, died Saturday, November 27, 2010 in her home. She was 82.

Theresa was born in Brook Village, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia on May 14, 1928, a daughter of the late John and Mary Belle (MacKinnon) Campbell. She had lived in Watertown for many years before moving to Waltham twelve years ago. Theresa was a homemaker and had been a member of the Canadian-American Club the Ladies Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, both in Watertown. She also enjoyed sewing, bowling, cooking and traveling.

She leaves her husband, Mervin F. Mooney; her children, John A. Beaton and his wife, Joanne, of Plainville, Joanne L. Burdick and her husband, Scott, of Milford, her son-in-law, Silvio DiRico of Waltham, her grandchildren, Donald, Joseph, and Ryan DiRico, Jeffrey, Jennifer, and Michelle Beaton, and Brendan and Daniel Burdick; her brother, John Donald Campbell of Waltham, and her sister, Katherine Anne Hawley of Brook Village, Cape Breton, N.S. and many nieces and nephews.

Theresa was the wife of the late Donald Beaton, mother of the late Mary T. DiRico, and sister of the late Annie Puzak, Mary Meagher, Francis, Collie, John Angus, Duncan, Willie, and Dan Charlie Campbell.

Family and friends will honor and remember Theresa’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Thursday, December 2nd, from 3 to 7 p.m. and again at 9:30 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
