Theresa M. Ouellette

Waltham – Mrs. Theresa M. (Deveaux) Ouellette, of Waltham, died Thursday, September 4, 2014 at The Inn at Robbins Brook in Acton. She was 84.

Theresa was born in Waltham on November 25, 1929, a daughter of the late Vincent and Celina (Cormier) Deveaux, and had been a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Saint Mary's High School in Waltham.

She married Harvey E. Ouellette, a former firefighter for the City of Waltham, on May 17, 1952 in the former St. Joseph's Church and was married for 61 years until his death on June 12, 2013.

Theresa enjoyed staying at home to raise her family. She was a talented cook and enjoyed sewing and time spent with her grandchildren. She volunteered many years at St. Julia Parish in Weston.

In addition to her husband, Harvey, she was predeceased by her brother, Albert Deveaux and her sister, Doris Whelan.

She leaves her children, Nancy M. Coppolino and her husband, Michael, of Acton and Robert H. Ouellette of Waltham; her grandchildren, Michael, Krista and Matthew Coppolino and Shannon and Caitlin Ouellette; her brother, Robert Deveaux and his wife, Jackie, of Marlborough and many nieces & nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Theresa's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday, September 7th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Monday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Julia's Church, 374 Boston Post Road, Weston, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
