Thomas A. Chagnon

Mr. Thomas A. Chagnon, formerly of Waltham, died Wednesday, March 2, 2005 in Tobey Hospital, Wareham. He was 83. Mr. Chagnon was born and had lived in Waltham for many years. He was employed as a supervisor for the Raytheon Company in Bedford for forty years until his retirement. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Chagnon was the husband of the late Shirley C. (Doe) Chagnon, the son of the late Arthur and Margaret (Norton) Chagnon and the brother of the late Arthur, John, and Paul Chagnon. He is survived by his children, Thomas A. Chagnon, Jr., Suzanne Judd, and Marjorie Schmidt; his brothers, Raymond, William, and Michael Chagnon; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held on Monday, March 7, at 9 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School Street, Waltham, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.
