Thomas J. Connors

Mr. Thomas J. Connors, of Waltham, died Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Wingate of Weston. He was 74.

Tom was born January 30, 1944 in Waltham a son of the late Thomas J. and Mary J. (Bowe) Connors. Raised and educated in Waltham he was a graduate of Waltham Vocational High School. He married Jeanne S. Lane on June 17, 1967 in Our Lady's Church and they continued to make Waltham their home.

Tom worked many years as a printer for various companies including Jansson Printing Co., Champagne Offset Co. and Joe Fabbo Advertising Company on River Street before retiring. An active member of Saint Charles Borromeo Parish he worked as custodian and sexton as well as serving as an usher. He later took the same position at Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston where he enjoyed many friendships with the parishioners and staff at both churches.

He will be remembered as a gem of a story teller and had an appreciation for the arts including acrylics and watercolors.

In addition to his wife of 51 years, Jeanne he leaves their daughters, Amiee E. Kloster (Mark) of South Korea and Colleen S. Michaels (Christopher) of Beverly; his grandchildren, Eliza Lane Michaels, Brayden Seawell Kloster and Keegan Lane Kloster; his twin sister, Mary J. Faugno (Fred) and his brother, Francis J. Connors (Frances) all of Waltham and the late Katherine W. O'Hearn and several nieces & nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Tom's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, October 18th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to The Blessed Sacrament Chapel at Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
