Waltham - Mr. Thomas P. Farrell, of Waltham, died Thursday, November 10, 2011 in Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. He was 67.
Tom was born in Waltham on January 1, 1944, a son of the late Joseph P. and Margaret L. (O'Brien) Farrell, and had been a lifelong resident. He worked for years as a contractor, handy-man and neighborhood fix-it man. Tom was the rare man who not only had the tools, but knew how to use them. During the Vietnam War he served with the United States Navy.
He leaves his daughters, Debra J. Hall of Ayer and Christine A. Farrell of Spokane Washington; his grandchildren, Robert Hall, Ella Hall, Alexa Kamenski, Madison Kamenski, Alyssa Farrell and Emilie Farrell; his sister, Margaret M. Farrell of Waltham; his sister-in-law, Patricia E. Farrell of Watertown and many nieces and nephews.
Tom was also the brother of the late Edward J. Farrell.
Family and friends will honor and remember Tom's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, November 17th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9:30 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
