Thomas F. Glynn

Thomas F. Glynn III of Waltham died on June 14, 2021. He was 65.

A treasured friend to many and adored by his family, he is survived by Cathleen (DiBona), his wife of 44 years; sons Thomas and Ryan, and daughter Holly. He was the cherished "Granddad" of his grandson, Tommy Glynn V.

Tom was happiest when spending time with his family and close friends and relished his summers in Maine. An avid sports enthusiast, he imparted his love of sports and competitive spirit to his children – never missing their practices or games. He was their coach, mentor and hero. Above all else, he was his children's biggest fan.

He will be remembered most for being a kind, genuine man with an ever-present sense of humor. A lifelong Waltham resident, he volunteered at many school and youth sports organizations throughout the city. He has been a figure in the food industry for over 40 years, cultivating lifelong friendships everywhere he went.

Son of the late Bridget Glynn (Daly) and Thomas Glynn Jr., he was the loving brother to Mary Eyssallenne, Noreen Davoli, Eileen Budge (Norman) and Joanie Glynn. "Uncle T" to many nieces and nephews and their families.

Family and friends will honor and remember Thomas' life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, June 18th from 4 to 7 p.m. His funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
