Mr. Thomas H. King, of Norwood, formerly of Waltham, died Saturday, December 19, 2009 in Caritas Hospital in Norwood. He was 70. Tom was born in Chelsea on April 19, 1939 a son of the late Catherine (McArdle) and Angelo Terrasi. A graduate of St. Charles High School in Waltham he lived many years in Waltham before moving to Norwood over 30 years ago. He worked in materials management for several local companies including Wang Corporation, Raytheon Corp. and Codex Corp. before retiring. Tom was an avid golfer and bowler and played for his team 'King's Men' for many years. He was most happy when in the presence of his grandchildren and surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his daughter, Ellen M. Locke and his aunt, Mary (McArdle) Batte. Tom leaves his children, Stephen King and his wife, Laurie, Thomas King, all of Hudson, NH, Michael King and his wife, Pamela, of Derry, NH, Judy Young and her husband, Jerry, of Billerica, Mary O'Hearn and her husband, Frank, of Hudson, NH, Nancy Crouss and her husband, William, of Ashland, Stephanie Bacon and her husband, Craig, of Rutland, and Heather King of Newport, Rhode Island; a son in law Gregg Locke of Tewksbury and an aunt, Anna (McArdle) Cardarelli of Waltham; also survived by 14 grandchildren. Family and friends will honor and remember Tom's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Monday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Committal services will follow in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Waltham.
