Waltham – Mr. Thomas C. Odiorne, of Waltham, died Tuesday, November 8, 2022 in Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. He was 92.
Tom was born in Medford on June 18, 1930, the son of the late Cornelius and Mary (Donohue) Odiorne. A graduate of Medford High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served aboard the USS Coral Sea, a Midway-class aircraft carrier during the Korean War.
Upon his return home from the service he had worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier in various locations throughout the Greater Boston area. He and his wife, Mary Ann (Cooke), had been residents of Waltham the past fifty years.
In addition to his wife, Mary Ann, he leaves his children, Anne M. Anidiobu (Mamel) of Framingham and Daniel P. Odiorne of Tampa, Florida; his grandchildren, Marley, Vivienne, and Aubrey Anidiobu; and his sister, Mary Haley of Watertown.
Family and friends will honor and remember Tom’s life by gathering to visit at 10 a.m. on Monday morning, November 14th, in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Watertown.
