Waltham Mr. Thomas R. Parello of Waltham died Thursday, January 22, 2004 in the Newton Wellesley Hospital. He was 72. A lifelong Waltham resident, Mr. Parello was a graduate of Waltham High School. He was a professional civil engineer until his retirement several years ago. Mr. Parello was Korean War veteran who served in the U.S. Army. He was a past member of the Massachusetts Society of Professional Engineers, American Legion Post #156 where he was a member of the Legion Band, and a member and past officer of Piave Fiume Lodge, Sons of Italy, in Watertown. Mr. Parello is survived by his wife, Caroline M. (Cotone) Parello, his son, Robert T. Parello and his wife, Mary of Dennis; his daughter, Laura J. Crowley and her husband, John of Redondo Beach CA; his grandchildren, Tommy, Anthony, and Connor; his brothers, George Parello of Waltham and Ronald Parello of Shrewsbury; his sister, Helen Meuse of Waltham; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Parello was the son of the late Angelo and Lena (Spicola) Parello and the brother of the late Catherine 'Rena' Cincotta. The Funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
