Waltham – Mr. Timothy M. Eagan, of Waltham, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011. He was 51.

Tim was born in Waltham on October 19, 1959, a son of Marilyn P. (Steede) Eagan of Waltham and the late Charles R. Eagan and had been a lifelong resident. He attended Our Lady's Elementary School, graduated from Waltham High School in 1977 and from Framingham State College four years later with a B.S in Computer Science..

He went to work right out of college in the information technology field at Honeywell in Billerica. He then went to work for Epoch Software and later for EMC where he worked as a systems manager. During his career he was an active proponent of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and sponsor of several fundraisers for the organization including golf tournaments at each of the firms where he worked. Tim was also a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge No. 953 and the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge No. 1018, both in Waltham. He had a passion for golf; playing at courses across the region and across the country.

In addition to his mother he leaves his brothers and sisters, Kevin C. Eagan and his wife, Beth, of Fort Myers, Florida, Terence J. Eagan, Marilyn C. Lefort and her husband, Wayne, and Mary P. Eagan, all of Waltham and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tim was also a brother of the late Sean E. Eagan and brother-in-law of the late Mary F. (Murphy) Eagan.

Family and friends will honor and remember Tim’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, May 20th, from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Saturday morning in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham, where his Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 am. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.

Memorial donations may be made to the Mount Auburn Hospital Healing Garden Fund, c/o Development Office, Mount Auburn Hospital, 330 Mount Auburn Street, Cambridge, MA 02138.
