Waltham - Miss Ursula M. Petipas, of Waltham, died Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Meadow Green Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Waltham. She was 75.

Ursula was born in Waltham on May 10, 1933, a daughter of the late Wilfred E. and Margaret (McNeil) Petipas, and had been a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Saint Mary's High School in Waltham. Until her retirement in 1990, Ursula worked as a secretary for Richardson Electric Company in Waltham for thirty-two years. She loved Boston sports and in particular she was an avid Red Sox fan.

She leaves her brother, Wilfred J. 'Bill' Petipas of Waltham; her nephew, Bruce Petipas and his wife, Deb, of Westford; her godson, Michael Abbruzese and his wife, Polly, of Natick; her dear friend, Fayth Canning of Waltham and many cousins.

Ursula was also the sister of the late Douglas R. and John Petipas.

Family and friends will honor and remember Ursula's life by gathering for calling hours at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Monday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
