Victor V. Stremeckus

Waltham - Mr. Victor V. “Vic” Stremeckus, of Waltham, died Wednesday, October 24, 2007 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 90. Born in Brighton, a son of the late Anthony and Anna (Kaupas) Stremeckus, Vic worked for over thirty years as a tool and die maker, and until his retirement was a laborer for the Laborers Union in Waltham. Vic was a graduate of Brighton High School and enjoyed his garden and working in his yard. Vic was a World War II veteran serving with the United States Navy. Vic was the brother of the Julius Stremeckus, Frank Stremeckus and Bonnie Weber. Vic leaves his wife of sixty-five years, Helen A. (Wencis) Stremeckus; his children, Victor Robert Stremeckus of Groton, Judith A. Truscello and her husband, Rick, of Hanover, Daniel J. Stremeckus of Groton and Richard M. Stremeckus and his wife, Pamela, of Acton; his grandchildren, Richard, Amy, Joshua, and Matthew; and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, West Roxbury. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
