Waltham- Mr. Vincent J. Chaisson of Waltham died Friday November 11, 2004 at Mount Auburn Hospital, Cambridge. He was 80. Born in Boston, a son of the late Peter D. and Mary (LeBlanc) Chaisson he was an engineer for the Skating Club of Boston for over forty years until his retirement. Mr. Chaisson lived for many years in Watertown and has lived in Waltham for over twenty years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #555 in Brighton, and enjoyed fishing and bowling. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. He was the brother of the late Arthur Chaisson, Mary Alice Chaisson and Theresa Carpentino. He leaves his wife Catherine B. (Walsh) Chaisson, his children, Jacqueline M. Andrews, Edward V. Chaisson and his wife Fay, and Joanne M. LeBlanc and her husband Roger all of Waltham, Peter V. Chaisson and his wife Nancy of Litchfield, NH and Karen A. Scribner and her husband Doug of Sutton. Also survived by ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4-8 p.m.
