Viola P. Gaines

Mrs. Viola P. (Dodge) Gaines of East Sandwich, formerly of Waltham, died Saturday October 29, 2005 at Life Care Center of Plymouth. She was 90. Born in Waltham, a daughter of the late William and Elsie P. (White) Dodge, she was a homemaker, and resided in Waltham before moving to East Sandwich in 1974. She leaves her husband of 73 years, George A. Gaines; two daughters, Beverly M. Jones and her husband Walter, of Watertown and Marilyn J. Bertini and her husband Albert, of East Sandwich; one granddaughter, Cheryl King and her husband Kenneth, two great-grandsons, Kristopher and Kevin and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
