North Attleborough - Virginia S. Boulton, of North Attleborough, formerly of Waltham, died September 17, 2020 at her home. She was 76.
Ginny was born in Cambridge on March 21, 1944 to the late Paul L. and Josephine M. (Cahill) Boulton. She grew up in Waltham and spent the majority of her life there. She graduated from Saint Mary's High School with the class of 1961.
Her first job after high school was working at Raytheon where she worked on the Apollo space missions. She was very proud of this and followed the space program throughout her life.
Ginny was a sports fan who enjoyed watching the Patriots and Bruins. She was a member of the Prospectors Ski Club for over fifty years and a member of the Ski Patrol at Prospect Hill in Waltham. She was a brownie and girl scout troop leader, and also enjoyed traveling across the United States, Canada and Europe for both business and pleasure. Some of her favorite places were Ireland, France, Germany, but most of all, skiing in New Hampshire.
She leaves her daughter, Kimberly McCarthy, son-in-law Richard, and her grandchildren, Adeline and Matthew, all of North Attleborough. She also leaves two sisters, Mary Jo Krom of Holbrook and Patricia Misita of Daytona Beach, Florida, and her nieces Deborah Misita of New Smyrna, Florida, Therese Truelove of Port Orange, Florida and Aileen Jarvis of Pelham, New Hampshire and her nephew Louis Misita of Port Orange, Florida.
Ginny was predeceased by her nephew, Brian Krom.
Family and friends will gather for committal services in Cambridge Cemetery, 76 Coolidge Avenue, Cambridge, at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Joslin Diabetes Center or the American Heart Association.
