Wah Geung

Mr. Wah Geung, of Waltham, died on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. He was 84.

Mr. Geung was born January 17, 1939 in Canton, China. He was raised and educated in China, before immigrating to the United States in 1965. He married Bich (Nham) Geung in 1981. He settled in Chicopee, Massachusetts and with his wife owned and operated as head chef North China Restaurant for over 20 years before retiring in 2006. They moved to Waltham in 2015 to be closer to their daughter and her family.

In addition to his wife of 42 years, Bich Geung, he leaves his daughter, Karen Geung Lomberg and her husband, Jason Lomberg of Waltham; and his grandchildren, Jayden and Jackson Lomberg.

Family and close friends will celebrate and remember Wah by gathering for a private service at the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, on Saturday, January 13, 2024. After cremation, inurnment will be in the Columbarium at Newton Cemetery.
