Walter J. Condon

Waltham- Mr. Walter J, Condon of Waltham died Saturday July 12, 2008 at Meadowgreen Nursing Home in Waltham. He was 94. Born and raised in Waltham, a son of the late Edward and Emma (Arsenault) Condon, Walter was a die and tool maker for J.L. Thomson Company in Waltham for fourteen years before his retirement. Walter was a fifty year member of the Waltham Loyal Order of Moose, # 1018, and enjoyed gardening, bowling and was an avid sports fan. He was also a World War II veteran serving with the U.S. Air Force. Walter was the brother of the late Edward Condon, Jr; William Condon Sr, and Anna Keane. Walter leaves his beloved wife of fifty one years to Veronica C. (MacDonald) Condon and many nieces and nephews including William Condon and his wife Heidi of Florida. The Funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street ( Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel of Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.
