Waltham Mr. Walter V. Roughsedge of Waltham died Sunday, March 27, 2005 in the Newton Wellesley Hospital. He was 78. A lifelong Waltham resident, Mr. Roughsedge worked in Plant Operations at Brandeis University in Waltham for forty years. He served in the U.S. Marines Corps during World War II. Mr. Roughsedge is survived by his wife, Mary J. (Vanaria) Roughsedge; his children, John C. Roughsedge of Acton, Jane E. Jacobs of Bolton, and Paul V. Roughsedge of Sudbury; his sister, Doris Witkowski of Maynard, four grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Percival and Mary J. (Vickerson) Roughsedge and the brother of the late Mary Donahue. The Funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 am from the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Marys Church, 133 School Street, Waltham, at 10 am. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
