Mrs. Waltrud A. (Acker) Lampé of Newton died Monday, August 26, 2013 in her home. She was 91. Mrs. Lampé was born in Germany on August 23, 1922, a daughter of the late Johann and Katharina (Hessberger) Acker.
A former businesswoman, Waltrud was a sophisticated and active patron of numerous local art and music organizations. She was also a gracious hostess to many friends, young and old, over many years.
Waltrud was the beloved wife of the late Ernst Lampé who died in June of 1982. She is survived by her siblings, Gudrun Paessler and Krimhild Acker, both of Germany and her niece, Barbel Paessler of Germany.
She was also the sister of the late Hans Ludwig Acker.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Church of the Redeemer, 379 Hammond Street, Chestnut Hill, on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 3:00 pm. Burial will be private.
