Warren J. Cox

September 17, 1921 — June 10, 2005

Waltham- Mr. Warren J. 'Brud' Cox of Waltham, died Friday June 10, 2005 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 83. Born and raised in Waltham, a son of the late John and Anna (Mahon) Cox, he was a lifelong resident. Until his retirement he worked for many years as a salesman for Land-O-Lakes Dairy and before that for Fisher’s Ginger Ale of Waltham. Mr. Cox was a graduate of Waltham High School and Boston College. During World War II he served with the U.S. Army Air Corps. Warren especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was the brother of the late R. Donald Cox and Barbara Davis. He leaves his beloved wife, Irene A. (Lopez) Cox; his children, Dianne I. Cox of Waltham, John W. 'Jack' Cox of Waltham, Richard S. Cox and his wife Julie of Sudbury, and Kathleen Cox of Waltham; his twin granddaughters, Jessica and Amanda Cox; two sisters, Margery Owens and Muriel Cox both of Waltham and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street Waltham at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Jude School, 175 Main Street, Waltham, MA 02453.
