Mr. Warren C. Elliott, of Waltham, died Wednesday, April 19, 2023 in Care Dimensions Hospice Residence in Lincoln. He was 94.
Warren was born on March 20, 1929 in Newton a son of the late Warren P. and Myrtle L. (Hatch) Elliott. Raised and educated in Waltham he was a graduate with the class of 1947 from Waltham High School. He then earned his Associate degree from Fisher Junior College. He served with the United States Coast Guard during the Korean War.
Warren worked in administration for IBM Corporation for thirty-four years and enjoyed retirement since 1984.
He was an active board member for over thirty years with the Waltham YMCA and was instrumental in the development of the construction of its present facility. Warren was a member of the Waltham Triad Lodge A.F. & A.M. He enjoyed playing tennis and friendships from the membership with the Waltham Racquet Club.
He leaves his wife of 45 years, Mary E. (LeDoux) Elliott; his children, Sharon L. Cetrano (Samuel) of Sanford, Maine, Brian C. Elliott of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Mara L. Paul (Brian) of Derry, New Hampshire and Heather M. Wheeler (Robert) of Holliston; his grandchildren, Samuel Cetrano (Kristen), Jonathan Cetrano (Noelle Opsahl), Timothy Cetrano (Nichole), Shayne Paul, Luke Elliott (Katy), Ben Elliott, Liam and Carter Wheeler; his great-grandchildren, Ben, Jacob, Lauren, LeeAnn, Brody and Aspen; brother of the late Grace Fitch; also survived by nieces & nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Warren’s life by gathering on Friday, April 28th in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham where his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
