Newton - Mr. Warren F. McCullough, of Newton and Mattapoisett, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 at his son's home in Andover. He was 77.Warren was born in Boston on June 2, 1932, a son of the late Timothy and Mary (Stevens) McCullough. He was a welding supply salesman beginning his career for Suburban Welders in Andover, working for them for thirty-five years. He then worked for several years at United Welders in Woburn and finished his career working at Middlesex Gases and Technology until his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, boating, and spending time with his grandchildren and most especially attending all of his grandson's sporting events. During the Korean War he served with the United Sates Army.Warren leaves his children, Robert J. McCullough and his wife, Gina of Andover and Karin A. Clougher and her husband, Kevin, of Waltham; his grandchildren, Danielle, Connor, Timothy and Michael, and many nieces, nephews, and longtime friends in Watertown and Mattapoisett.Warren was the husband of the late Marilyn M. (McGill) McCullough and brother of the late Timothy 'Joe' McCullough and Mary McCullough.Family and friends will honor and remember Warren's life by gathering for calling hours at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Newton Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army, 33 Myrtle Street, Waltham, MA 02453.
