Mr. Wayne F. Dunham, of Waltham, died unexpectedly at home on Monday, June 7, 2021. He was 74.
Wayne was born on November 4, 1946 in Waltham a son of the late Leo and Mary (Spinelli) Dunham. Raised in Waltham he was a graduate of the Waltham Vocational High School with the class of 1964. He married Concord native Patricia A. Mitchell on April 24, 1966 in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church. After 46 years of marriage, Patricia died on September 10, 2013.
Wayne worked as an engineer technician for companies including Keystone Dental Co. in Burlington, Excel to Excellence Co. in Wilmington, ITEK Corporation in Lexington and Baird Corp. in Bedford.
Wayne loved cruising the waters aboard his boat, 'Serenity' with his beloved Pat as well as fishing and the many vacations they took to Disney with family.
He leaves his daughters, Christine A. Dunham – Pierce (Ronald) and Colleen A. Dunham-Rayne (Michael Laubach) all of Waltham; his grandchildren, Zachary and Olivia Rayne and Peter Pierce; his sisters, Denise Cram (late Robert) of Waltham and Darlene Burket (William) of Orlando, Florida and the late Debra Cody; his brother-in-law Charles Cody of Gardner; nieces & nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Wayne's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday, June 13th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. Monday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
