Belmont –Mr. Wayne W. LaRose, of Belmont, died Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Adminstration Hospital in Bedford. He was 69 years old.
Wayne was born in Brighton on November 17, 1950, a son of the late John and Audrey (Damon) LaRose. He was raised in Watertown and was a 1969 graduate of Watertown High. A year later he joined the United States Air Force where he served as a jet engine mechanic in Okinawa, Japan; Thailand and in Vietnam.
After his discharge he trained as a plumber and worked for years for Fineberg Plumbing and Heating in Brighton. He lived in Belmont before moving to California in the early 2000's where he worked as a property manager. Following his retirement Wayne moved home to Belmont.
Wayne was a longtime member of VFW Post No. 1272 in Belmont.
He is survived by his daughter, Patricia E. LaRose (Tom Bonn) of Belmont; his granddaughter, Gia Elizabeth Bonn; his sister and brother, Barbara Venezia and John LaRose, both of Watertown and many nieces and nephews.
Wayne was also a brother of the late Stephen LaRose and Judith Constantine.
Family and friends will honor and remember Wayne's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20) Waltham on Thursday, February 20th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 11 a.m. on Friday morning when his Funeral Service will be held. Burial will be in Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Watertown.
