Waltham – Mr. Wilfred J. ‘Bill’ Beaulieu, of Waltham, died Sunday, December 31, 2006 at Chetwynde Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Newton. He was 84. Born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota, a son of the late Anthony and Berthilde (Melanson) Beaulieu, Bill had been a Waltham resident for more than sixty years. During World War II, he served as a radio operator with the United States Merchant Marine. Until his retirement, he worked as a quality control engineer for the Raytheon Company in Waltham. He was a member of the Gallops Island Retirement Association, an association of Merchant Marine officers in Boston. Bill leaves his wife, Catherine M. ‘Kay’ (Sullivan) Beaulieu; one daughter, Maureen T. Beaulieu of Somerville; and one sister, Sr. Rita Ann Beaulieu, OSB of Duluth, Minnesota. He was also the brother of the late Edward Beaulieu. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 8 a.m. Friday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Luke’s Church, 132 Lexington Street, Belmont at 9 a.m. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress Street, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210.
