Waltham - Mr. William M. ‘Bill’ Connelly of Waltham died Sunday March 21, 2010 at the Florida Hospital in Celebration Florida. He was 57.
Bill was born in Revere on June 30, 1952, a son of the late Francis and Roseanne (DelSapio) Connelly, and had lived in Revere for many years before moving to Waltham in 1977. He worked for over thirty-five years for the Raytheon Corporation in Marlborough as a mechanical source inspector. Bill was a 1971 graduate of Revere High School, and was very active with the Drum and Bugle Corps playing the Bass Drum with the Light Brigade. He was also an assistant instructor at Acton/ Boxborough High School Marching Band Winter Percussion Group.
Bill leaves his wife Maureen F. (Casey) Connelly; his sister Elaine Nassif and her husband, George, of Brighton; his mother-in-law Mary (Mitchell) Casey of Waltham; his sister-in-law, Patricia Casey of Waltham; three nieces and one nephew.
He was also the son-in-law of the late Robert Casey.
Family and friends will honor and remember Bill’s life by gathering for calling hours at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and again at 9:30 a.m. on Monday before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Committal services will follow in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
