William E. Cummings

Waltham- Mr. William E. Cummings of Waltham died Saturday April 16, 2005 at East Village Nursing Home in Lexington. He was 81. Born in Brockton, a son of the late John J. and Nora (Earles) Cummings, he was a Sheet Metal worker at Artisan Industries in Waltham for forty three years before his retirement in 1989. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was the brother of the late Richard Cummings and Margaret Carraway. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Barbara M. (Farrell), one son Michael W. Cummings and his wife Patricia of Waltham, one daughter Maureen P. Doucakis and her husband James of Londonderry, NH, one sister Catherine Poskus of Carver, his grandchildren, Jacqueline, Kathleen, Elizabeth, Steven, one great grandson Thomas and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
