William J. Flanagan

Waltham - Mr. William J. Flanagan of Waltham, died Tuesday, February 22, 2005 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 93. Born in East Boston, Mr. Flanagan had lived in Waltham for over fifty years. He was employed as an accountant for many years until his retirement and was very active in Saint Jude Church in Waltham. Mr. Flanagan was the husband of the late Rose M. (Sheridan) Flanagan, the father of the late William J. Flanagan, Jr. and Robert J. Flanagan, the son of the late William L. and Eleanor (Kenney) Flanagan, and the brother of the late Andrew H. Flanagan. He is survived by his sister, Marie Burke of Quincy, eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, February 26, at 11 a.m. in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery in Watertown. Visiting hours will be held Saturday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham.
