William G. Foley

Waltham - Mr. William G. Foley, of Waltham, died Thursday, February 1, 2007 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 77. A lifelong Waltham resident, Mr. Foley worked for many years at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford as an instrument technician. After that, he worked at the Watertown Arsenal manufacturing ballistics and calibrators, retiring several years ago. He was a Korean War veteran who served with the United States Air Force. Mr. Foley was a member of the Joseph F. Hill American Legion Post No. 156 in Waltham. Mr. Foley is survived by his beloved wife, June J. (McElhiney) Foley; his loving children, Linda Foley Fitzpatrick, William S. Foley and his wife, Jacqueline Rizzo Foley, all of Waltham; his grandchildren, Erin and Nicole Fitzpatrick, and Joanna and Ryan Foley; his sisters, Mary MacKay of Roslindale, Emma Buckley of Bedford, and Eleanor Krampits of Waltham and many nieces and nephews. He was the father-in-law of the late James R. Fitzpatrick, the son of the late John and Martha (Buzzell) Foley, and the brother of the late Charles ‘Jerry’ Foley. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham. Funeral services and burial will be private.
