Mr. William E. Furdon of Waltham died Monday August 11, 2003 in Newton Wellesley Hospital. He was 75. Born in Waltham a son of the late Thomas E. and Margaret A. (Treddin) Furdon, Mr. Furdon was a Waltham Fire Fighter from 1962 until his retirement in 1992. Before that, he worked for many years for Donlon Trucking and Kennedy Farms in Waltham. Mr. Furdon was a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Army and he was a member of the International Association of Fire Fighters Local #866, Waltham Moose Lodge No. 1018, and the Restless Rustlers Club in Watertown. Mr. Furdon was the brother of the late Mary E. Furdon, Thomas H. Furdon, Helen Cunningham, Margaret Mogan, John F. Furdon, Joseph P. Furdon, Mildred E. Devlin, and Dorothy Furdon. He is survived by his wife Josephine R. (Rizzo) Furdon, his children Mary E. Baker, Marcella A. LaFond and Michelle G. Perkins all of Waltham, Thomas E. Furdon and his wife Cheryl of Sudbury and William E. Furdon, Jr. of Provincetown; a step-sister, Catherine Waugh of Waltham; four grandchildren, Melissa Jensen, Gabrielle Repassey, Meghan and Allyson DiGregory; two great-grandchildren, Samuel and Hayley Jensen and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Marys Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Donations in Mr. Furdons memory to the Aids Support Group of Cape Cod, P.O.
