Waltham - Mr. Willliam F. Mike Garrigan, Jr. of Waltham died Monday, May 16, 2005 in the Veterans Administration Hospital, West Roxbury. He was 84. A lifelong Waltham resident, Mr. Garrigan was a graduate of Saint Marys High School, Class of 1939. He worked as a salesman for the Nabisco Company for over 25 years until his retirement. Mr. Garrigan was a World War II veteran who served with the U.S. Navy. He was very active in Saint Marys Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Holy Name Society. Mr. Garrigan was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was the husband of the late Margaret M. (Lally) Garrigan; the father of the late Mark E. Garrigan; the son of the late William F. and Mary E. (Hughes) Garrigan; brother of the late Mary 'Betty' Bonfiglio, Edward Garrigan, and Joseph Garrigan and a brother-in-law of the late Margaret Garrigan. Mr. Garrigan is survived by his children, Michael P. Garrigan of San Diego, CA, William F. Garrigan III of Waltham, Margaret A. Savage of Framingham, and Matthew R. Garrigan of San Francisco, CA; his grandchildren, Robert, Christopher, Thomas, and Emmet Garrigan and Rebecca Porter; his sister, Peggy Doherty and her husband Bernard, of Waltham; his sister-in-law, Marion Garrigan of Sudbury; four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Tuesday, May 24, at 8 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Marys Church, Waltham, at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
