Waltham -Mr. William P. Huber Sr., of Waltham, died Monday, October 10, 2016 in the Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was 67.
Bill was born December 11, 1948 a son of the late Henry B. and Ruth E. (Powers) Huber. A graduate of Waltham High School he honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a lifelong Waltham resident.
Bill worked as an HVAC technician at Lahey Clinic in Burlington and previously for Polaroid Corporation before retiring in 2011.
An avid sports fan he was a loyal New England Patriots fan. He loved his Ford F150 and maintained and treated it like it was a newborn and was anxiously awaiting delivery of a new Ford he had purchased.
In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his siblings, Lorraine Hietsch, Robert Huber, Frederick Huber, Henry 'Buddy' Huber and Ruth 'Mickey' Holman.
He leaves his children, William P. Huber Jr and his wife, Erin of Waltham and Stephanie L. Cadenhead and her husband, Josh of Marshfield; his grandchildren, Jason and Jackson Huber, Zackery Cadenhead and Joshua Benn; his longtime companion, Doris E. (Griggs) Carmel of Waltham; his siblings, Pauline Boudreau of Waltham, James Huber and his wife, Susan of Summerfield, Florida, Barbara Cotoni of Punta Gorda, Florida, Arlen 'Buster' Brown and his wife, Helen of Syracuse, New York and Katherine S. 'Kathy' Thompson and her husband, Frank of Townsend; also survived by his former wife, Susan M. Burke and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Bill's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, October 13th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery.
