Waltham Mr. William P. Looby of Waltham, formerly of Quincy, died Monday, October 25, 2004 at Maristhill Nursing Home. He was 92.<br><br>Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Patrick and Mary (Whelton) Looby, he lived in South Boston and in Quincy for most of his life. He moved to Waltham eleven years ago. Until his retirement Mr. Looby worked as an agent for the Internal Revenue Service at their Cambridge office. He attended Bentley College in Boston and during World War II he served with the U.S. Coast Guard.<br><br>The husband of the late Mary A. (McDonough) Looby, he leaves one sister, Sr. Catherine Looby, SCN of Nazareth, Kentucky and many nieces and nephews. He was also a brother of the late Alice M. Looby, Mary N. Looby, Peter J. Looby, Margaret McSorley, Joseph Looby, John Looby and Jeremiah Looby.<br><br>Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9:30 a.m. Thursday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in New Calvary Cemetery, Roslindale.<br><br>Visiting hours are Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.<br>
