Holliston – Mr. William F. MacLeod, Jr., of Holliston, died Wednesday November 22, 2017 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester. He was 73.
Bill was born in Waltham on March 28, 1944, the son of the late William F. and Jane (Foote) MacLeod. As an infant he was stricken with cerebral palsy and for most of his life was able to live at home with his parents on Golden Ball Road in Weston.
After the death of his parents Bill's care was directed by other family members who introduced him to Horace Mann Educational Associates of Franklin who arranged for Bill to live in a wonderful home in Holliston where he received tremendous care and formed close bonds with both his caretakers and fellow residents.
He is survived by several cousins and their families including Jean Thorp of Barefoot Bay Florida and also by his caretakers and fellow residents.
Family and friends will honor and remember Bill's life by gathering for graveside services in Linwood Cemetery, Boston Post Rd, Weston, on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. when he will be laid to rest with his parents.
