Watertown – Mr. William A. Nydam, of Watertown, died Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at his home. He was 54.
Billy was born in Waltham on May 17, 1966, a son of Judith (Wilson) Farrar DiBlasi. He was raised and educated in Waltham and moved to Watertown several years ago.
Although Billy retired from his career in construction and landscaping six years ago, he was still the 'Mr. Fix-it' for his friends and family.
He was a Bruins fan, a fisherman, but first and foremost, he was a family man. He never left the house without first giving his wife, Robin, a kiss goodbye. Billy loved spending time with his family, manning the grill at a barbeque, fishing trips with his brother and especially trips to Foxwoods and Encore with Robin. He was a good friend to have, always giving what he had to help others. With his friendly smile and wonderful charisma, he made fast friends anywhere he went. Billy was also a proud member of the Sons of the American Legion Post No. 156.
In addition to his wife, Robin Caliri Nydam, and his mother, Judith, he is survived by his brothers, Randy Farrar (Late Nancy) of Framingham, Danny Nydam (Kathey) of Waltham, Jerry Nydam and Michael DiBlasi, both of Norridgewock, Maine; his stepchildren, Kenneth Caliri of Newton, and Kevin McCool of Watertown; his goddaughter, Gabriela, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends will honor and remember Billy's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham from 3 to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 5th.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
