Watertown Retired Watertown Police Sgt. William P. OGrady died Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at Epoch Healthcare Center, Weston. He was 74. <br><br>A lifelong Watertown resident, Mr. OGrady was a member of the Watertown Police Department for 36 years until his retirement ten years ago. He was a graduate of Saint Patricks High School in Watertown. He was one of the first recipients of a full scholarship under the Quinn bill to attend and graduate from Boston State College by scoring in the top ten out of four hundred applicants.<br><br>Mr. OGrady was a Korean War veteran who served in the U.S. Army. An avid reader, he was a trustee of the Watertown Public Library and also enjoyed photography.<br><br>He was the son of the late Patrick and Helen (Cloonan) OGrady and the brother of the late James F. OGrady and Cecelia M. Cloherty. <br><br>Mr. OGrady is survived by his wife, Joan (Wright) OGrady; his children, Rev. Robert M. OGrady of Watertown, Maureen J. Amedio and her husband Anthony, of Waltham and Jean M. McDonald and her husband Gerry, of Watertown; his grandchildren, Kelly, Sandy, Ryan, and Mark McDonald and Kaitlyn, Brianne, Brendan, Kerilyn, and Patrick Amedio; his brother, Edward F. OGrady of Woburn, and many nieces and nephews.<br><br>The Funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Patricks Church, 212 Main Street, Watertown at 10:30 am. Burial will be in Saint Patricks Cemetery, Watertown.<br> <br>Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. <br><br>Donations in Mr. OGradys memory to the Saint Jude School Library Fund, 175 Main Street, Waltham, MA 02453 would be appreciated.<br>
