January 4, 1935 — April 9, 2017

Waltham – Mr. William J. Waldron, of Waltham, formerly of Watertown, died at home surrounded by family on Sunday, April 9, 2017. He was 82.

Bill was born in County Mayo, Ireland on January 4, 1935, a son of the late John and Margaret (Regan) Waldron. He immigrated to the United States in 1956 and met his future bride, Eileen Mahon, a year later. The pair married in Saint Patrick's Church in Watertown on September 21, 1961. They made Watertown their home for over 38 years before moving to Waltham in 2002.

Bill served with the Massachusetts National Guard.

Until his retirement he worked as a painter for the Boston Housing Authority. He was also a talented carpenter and loved to stay active. He and Eileen enjoyed traveling around the country and around the world and every couple of years they looked forward to a trip 'home' to Ireland.

Bill's time spent with family was precious and around the house he kept an immaculate garden. He found peace fishing on the Charles or at local lakes and ponds.

Waldron and his wife, Erin, of Milford and Michael G. Waldron of Waltham and his best friend, Joanne Sperazzo; his grandchildren, Kyle, Julia, Bob and Paul; his sister, Vona Croke of Norwood and many nieces and nephews.

Bill was also a brother of the late Michael, Patrick, John and Martin Waldron and Margaret Mary Judge.
