Wm. Earl Brandt

December 11, 1925 — June 15, 2005

Orange - Mr. William Earl Brandt of Orange, formerly of Waltham, died Wednesday June 15, 2005 at his home. He was 79. Born in Brighton, a son of the late John H. and Mary Jane (Acorn) Brandt, he worked as a foreman for the Raytheon Corporation in Bedford until his retirement. He lived in Waltham for 53 years and had lived in Orange for the past five years. Mr. Brandt was a Life Member of the D.A.V., the American Legion, Post #172 in Orange and V.F.W. Post #10334 in Waltham. He was also an avid outdoorsman, a devoted family man as well as a World War II veteran serving with the U.S. Navy. He was the brother of the late Roland Brandt, Arnold Brandt and Genevieve Murphy. He is survived by his wife Barbara M. (Butler) Brandt, two daughters, Kathleen A. Brandt of Merrimack, NH and Christine M. Brandt-McCall and her husband Stan of New Ipswich, NH; one brother, Chester Brandt of Seminole, FL; one sister, Dorothy Doyle of Burlington; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701 or to the Gardner Visiting Nursing Association, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA 01440
