Mr. Xiaodi Wang, of Cambridge died Thursday, November 21, 2019 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital after an illness. He was 75.
Mr. Wang was born November 28, 1943 in Hangzhou, China a son of the late Junkai Wang and Suzhen Li. Raised in Hangzhou, and educated in Nanjing, China, he was a graduate of Southeast University.
He worked as a mechanical engineer in Iron & Steel industry for many years until became a general manager at a Light Industry Machinery Plant. He immigrated to the United States in 1989.
He liked cooking, fishing, reading and spending time with friends and family. He very much enjoyed helping friends and family in anyway he could.
He leaves his children, Kun Wang of (YinYin) of Cambridge and Yan Wang (David) of Weston; his grandson, William Middlezong; his siblings Jianren Wang, Ying Wang, Jin Wang, Jian Wang, Jiaju Wang, Mei Wang, and Xiaozhen Wang; his former wife, Ms. Tang of Lexington; nieces & nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Xiaodi's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday, December 1st from 2 to 5 p.m. and again on Monday, December 2nd in the morning where his funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Burial ceremony will follow at Linwood Cemetery, Weston.
