Yicang Qiu

Waltham - Qiu Yicang, of Waltham, died at home on Sunday, January 7, 2018. She was 85.

She was born October 12, 1932 in Guang Xi, China a daughter of the late Xiu Shan Qiu and Gu Yu Lan. Raised and educated in China she earned the equivalency to a Bachelor's degree. While in China she worked as an accountant for the government and immigrated to the United States in 1993.

Her husband, Xian Rong Lu died November 9, 2014.

She leaves her children, Pengfei Lu, Qingping Lu and her husband, Shangyuan Liao and Tan Yang Lu and his wife, Kiu San Lu; her grandchildren, Ji Lu (Qiuju Gui), Gang Lu (Xiuqing Zhu), Qi Lu (Dongmei Qin), Yixin Lu (Bingyu Lu), Yuheng Liao (Wei Huang), Frances Lu, Francesca Lu, Christopher Lu, Michael Lu; her great-grandchildren, Jiawen Lu, Junchen Liao; nieces & nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Qiu Yicang's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Saturday, January 20th from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery.
